Spring Training Underway: Three Signed; One Departs

April 15, 2024 - (Central Islip, N.Y.) - The Long Island Ducks today took the field at Fairfield Properties Ballpark for the first time in 2024 to begin their spring training workouts. The team included three additions, as the Ducks announced the signings of infielder Hector Gomez and right-handed pitchers Ramon Santos and John LaRossa. Additionally, right-handed pitcher Raynel Espinal's contract has been purchased by Rieleros de Aguascalientes of the Mexican League. Ducks to Honor Bud Harrelson During 2024 Season

April 15, 2024 - (Central Islip, N.Y.) - The Long Island Ducks today announced the team's plans to honor the memory of late Co-Owner and Co-Founder Bud Harrelson during the 2024 season. Throughout the season, the team will wear a commemorative patch on all home, away and tertiary jerseys. The patch features Harrelson's iconic number "3" in a black circle and will be located on the chest of each uniform top. Ducks Ink Infielders Frank Schwindel and Manuel Geraldo

April 12, 2024 - (Central Islip, N.Y.) - The Long Island Ducks today announced the signings of first baseman Frank Schwindel and infielder Manuel Geraldo. Both players begin their first season with the Ducks, with Schwindel entering his 11th season of professional baseball and Geraldo starting his 10th. April 11, 2024 - (Central Islip, N.Y.) - The Long Island Ducks today announced the signings of right-handed pitchers Trevor Bettencourt and Sam Delaplane as well as left-handed pitcher Emilio Marquez.
