March 28, 2024 - CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Monsters will host the long awaited Total Solar Eclipse Game powered by NOPEC on Saturday, March 30, when the Rochester Americans visit Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse for a crucial AHL North Division clash. Puck drop is at 3:15 p.m., exactly nine days before Cleveland's moment of eclipse totality. March 27, 2024 - GRAND RAPIDS, MI - The Cleveland Monsters fell to the Grand Rapids Griffins 5-2 on Wednesday night at the Van Andel Arena. With the loss, the Monsters are now 35-22-3-3 and are currently in second place in the AHL's North Division standings. The Griffins started the first period with a power-play goal from Taro Hirose at 2:02 followed by markers from Zach Aston-Resse at 12:42 and Jonatan Berggren at 14:03. March 27, 2024 - CLEVELAND - The AHL's Cleveland Monsters, top affiliate of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets, announced Wednesday that the Blue Jackets reassigned defenseman Ole Julian Bjorgvik-Holm from Cleveland to the ECHL's Cincinnati Cyclones. Bjorgvik-Holm appeared in two games for Cleveland this season and added 4-27-31 in with 34 penalty minutes in 49 appearances for Cincinnati. In 38 appearances for St. Cloud State University this season, Okabe supplied 10-14-24 with 21 penalty minutes. A 5'9", 170 lb. right-shooting native of Okotoks, AB, Okabe, 23, supplied 52-67-119 with 81 penalty minutes and a +13 rating in 176 career NCAA appearances for St. Cloud State spanning five seasons from 2019-24.
