Aces Assigned Baldwin, Sign Gorham

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - The Alaska Aces announced today that the Minnesota Wild of the National Hockey League have reassigned defenseman Corbin Baldwin to the Aces from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League, recalled defenseman Colton Jobke and the Aces have signed free agent defenseman Brad Gorham.

Baldwin and Gorham are expected to suit up for the Aces this evening, who open a six game homestand at Sullivan Arena against the Bakersfield Condors at 7:15 p.m. (GCI/KFQD). Baldwin, 23, has one assist in four games with the Aces while skating in 16 games with Iowa this season. The 6-foot-5, 215-pound defenseman has a pair of assists and 145 penalty minutes in 83 career AHL games with Houston and Iowa, while collecting six assists and 49 penalty minutes in 42 ECHL games with Orlando and the Aces.

Gorham, 28, has skated in three games with the Aces this season and suited up in 27 games in his Aces career with one goal and three assists. The 6-foot-1, 196 pound defenseman and Anchorage native was captain for the Univ. of Alaska-Anchorage (NCAA) program in 2011-12 and had 23 points in 95 career college games with UAA.

The Aces are the official ECHL affiliate of the St. Louis Blues and Minnesota Wild of the National Hockey League.
