Admirals Announce Pair of Roster Moves

NORFOLK, Va. - The Norfolk Admirals announced they have signed forward Alex Krushelnyski to a professional tryout contract (PTO) and reassigned goaltender Etienne Marcoux from the Utah Grizzlies of the ECHL to the Rapid City Rush of the ECHL.

Krushelnyski, 24, played one game for the Admirals earlier this year against Providence, recording a shot on net. The Bloomfield Hills, Michigan native has also played 11 games this season with Norfolk ' s ECHL affiliate, the Utah Grizzlies. With Utah, he has registered eight points on three goals and five assists. Prior to his professional hockey career, Krushelnyski notched 42 goals and 59 assists for 101 points in 158 games with the Colorado College Tigers.

Marcoux, 21, hasn't debuted in the AHL yet but did appear in five games thus far for the Utah Grizzlies of the ECHL. The La Plaine, Quebec native is 1-3-1 in the ECHL with a goals-against average (GAA) of 3.43 and save percentage (SV%) of .901. The 2014-15 season is the first of Marcoux's professional year following more than four seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) with the Montreal Juniors and Blainville-Boisbriand Armada.

The Admirals host the Portland Pirates tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. to begin a two-game weekend set concluded by a 7:15 p.m. start on Saturday.
